A commitment to the Colbert Committee
since 2009

An Ambassador of French culture, the Colbert Committee represents a global idea of excellence by affiliating renowned brands of French luxury withcommon values: the demand for quality, the importance given to creation, and the identity of the brand as well as to aestheticism, and international ambition.
Cartier, Dior, Hermès and Louis Vuitton feature among the members of the Colbert Committee.

Delhi The French edition of the Ramayana book was launched at the French Embassy in Delhi in 2011, under the patronage of Dr Karan Singh, Honorable President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, H.R.H Shriji Aravind Singh Mewar of Udaipur and Mr Alain Juppé former French Minister of Foreign Affairs

The collection presents masterpieces of world literature illustrated with the most pertinent art, not art as decoration, but art as a visual meditation, further inviting the reader deeper into the meaning of the text.
This way, she has published such classics as:

  • Dante’s Divine Comedy, which involved research in the vaults of the Vatican for unpublished drawings by Botticelli,
  • The Tale of Genji by Murasaki-shikibu illustrated by traditional Japanese painting for which Diane de Selliers received in 2008 the Distinction of the Minister of Culture of Japan.
  • Attar’s Canticle of the Birds illustrated through Persian and Eastern Islamic Art, a masterpiece of Persian literature, with the collaboration of Michael Barry, Professor at Princeton University and undisputed specialist of the Middle East and Islamic world.

Supported by numerous researchers renowned in France and abroad, the method of the publishing house Diane de Selliers is irreproachable.
Internationally recognized as indispensable reference books, these prestigious works of art have earned Diane de Selliers the highest civilian awards.
